I want to try incubating some hen/duck eggs.

I've got the incubator, and a source of fresh hen/duck eggs.

I've checked out some web sites which all recommend that the eggs get turned
regularly and for a period of days. What the sites don't tell me is how I
put the eggs in the incubator.

Do I lay them all on their sides, or do I place them in egg trays as if they
were normal eggs? Also which egg do I have uppermost, is it the pinted end
or is it the larger rounded end.
