Mites of all types seem to be particularly prevalent this year - from the
numbers of cases I have heard of down south
Feather mite can cause devastation
Either that or the immune hen is pulling feathers of the others

Look online for feather mites - and others for that matter
Look at your birds for mites or lice - really separate the feathers
What do you feed?
Do you provide calcium?
What breed, what age, what management system
