Ahh, right I'm with you. As far as I'm aware many artificial growth
enhancers used on animals are antibiotics which are of types not used on
humans. Though other types of antibiotics are frequently put in feed for
treatment of ailments & even to help prevent disease. All of these need
a vet's prescription, probably not that hard to get. Was listening to an
interesting chat on radio 4 with a vet who was of the opinion that low
level antibiotics in animal feed were a good idea. Too long to talk
about at present but an interesting point of view.
