Been there Done that :~D
BUT Wait till you see them run.
They have no difficulty outdistancing a dog or fox in open ground for a
hundred yards or so.
My observation is that they prefer to run. They only fly if really pressed

Nope, when I 'bin there done that" I lost 2. The dog best door bailed one
up against a net fence and had it for lunch, the second I caught in the hen
run about 4 days latter when it came in for a drink of water. The dog was
not impressed in the 4 days, as She had to share a water dish with the
fowls. (BEG aint it amazing what thirst will do) But I was luky, there was
just no other water in the area.

When (and

Yep, but not much of an idea. They are at best a semi domesticated creature
and instinct for survival is about the only brains they have.

(It is all fun and games until someone or something gets hurt.)
