If you want to stick with chickens and you find a good babysitter, I
would suggest getting a couple of Bantams. They are little, very
sweet and docile. We only have one right now (an adoptee from a
neighbor) but Tinker Bell will follow me around the yard for hours,
wondering what I am doing and sit on my lap if I stop and sit down.
If I am kneeling at a flower bed, it is not unusual to see her perched
on my shoulder waiting to strike at any bug that I might unearth.
