Ronny:
I do like them;but not because they are agressive. Just like their
looks-real pretty birds. And I have an idea that they would lay well and
perhaps be good sitters and Mama hens?

I'm thinking one little hen I have must be game or at least partly that.
I let them out of the poultry yard yesterday and she acted so strange.
She just ran around a lot checking out two different places to nest. One
an old dog house and then the little block house my well water pump is
in. She sat in that last one a good bit and I'm going to have to check
for an egg in there today. Shut that building up though as I don't want
to be crawling in there behind the well pump all of the time to check
for an egg! LoL To me,that hen did another strange thing. For awhile she
kept picking up dry leaves and pine needles and then immediately threw
them back down on the ground. I have no idea why she did that? Can only
wonder if this could be some sign that she's going broody?

And got my first green shelled egg yesterday from the Araucona hen. :-)
Like those type simply because they lay something besides a white or
brown shelled egg. Silly? Yep! LoL

Now I'm thinking 3 of my 5 hens are laying. So things are progressing
nicely as they settle in and get used to a new place. :-)
