Once bears have gotten a taste of something and know where they
can find it again, they will come back for another easy meal. Same
with big cats. Neither of them are what you would call a dumb
animal. Coyotes are just looking for easy meals. They have been
known to come right up on house porches and grab small dogs or
cats. And yet one of our idiot neighbors lets his 2 little yorkshire
terriors run loose. And we have plenty of coyotes around us. The
llamas pretty much keep them away from our place and the neighbors.
We've had mountain lions spotted in the area. The farmers around
us that I've talked to are all carrying guns again. Don't know if there
have been any more livestock killed or not.
Estate sale started this evening and continues thru the weekend.
The last of the MIL's houses is on the market. So we are at least
getting that "stuff" dealt with. Once we get that all done, taxes paid
and the rest divied up, we will start looking for a new farm in earnest.
Probably right after the 1st of the year. I guess thats not to far off.
Time flys when your having fun. Or not.
I haven't had a chance to chat with the developer again. I thought I
would just sit tight for a few weeks and see what his next play will
be. I've had a couple offers from other people (land speculators) that
were interesting but I'm willing to sit back and wait for more.
Once they start building houses, we will have to move the llamas
elsewhere. They will be putting a major road right thru our property
and we will just lose to much pasture to keep the llamas here. Now
that really sucks.
