Hi Peggy

Thanks for the feedback about the eggs.

This particular vet had actually spent a good few weeks on a chicken farm as
one of the rotations in his training, so he seemed to be reasonably cluey
about chooks.

I am forever in awe of vets. I am a dentist and regularly go to continuing
education courses and daily utilise internet forums to keep up with the
latest information in the rather specialised field of dentistry.

Seeing how much there is to know about in the 'narrow' field of dentistry
fills me with immense admiration for medical doctors who have to deal with
the entire human body and the myriad of conditions that can affect it.

Then one looks at vets. Absolutely mind boggling! They have to know about
the anatomy and physiology of a vast variety of animals and the diseases and
ailments that can affect each one. And to make their job all that more
difficult, their patients can't talk to give them a history to help with
diagnosis.
