Re: predators...we had a couple (7 to be precise) incidents where a
small neighborhood dog got inside *both* layers of fench and attacked
the ducks. One eventually died of an abdominal wound. Since then, I
have spoken to the owner, caught the dog inside the duck pen again, and
turned it over to Animal Control.

There are several other dogs in the neighborhood, but none of them has
shown the slightest interest in the ducks (knock on wood). In any
case, I do eventually plan to build a secure holding facility for the
girls once the weather warms up.
