FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -- The sentencing of Blair Pedersen in the killing
of 30 chickens, ducks and geese was put over once again as a judge
decided to ponder his reasons for judgment until later this week. "I
don't think in this case it's in the best interests of Pedersen, Ms.
Hart or the community to write at length on the subject. I'd like to
take a day or two," said Judge Michael Brecknell.
Pedersen, 20, appeared in provincial court Monday after having pleaded
guilty last fall to break and enter, causing mischief and stealing
signs in an incident that occurred in the summer.
On Aug. 10, homeowner Corrie Hart woke up to find her chickens, ducks
and geese had been killed, their heads strewn about the yard.
Pedersen's lawyer, Richard Gibbs, emphasized that Pedersen had shown a
great deal of remorse over the incident and deserved leniency from the
court.

You know folks..... It kinda makes you wonder what would be going
through someone's mind when they pull a stunt like the one above.
