On my antibiotics package, there were only restrictions on eating birds
given antibiotics, but nothing about the eggs from laying hens on
antibiotics. As I recall, though, you are supposed to wait....?a week?
after stopping the drugs before eating the eggs?
Any suggestions on what to do with the eggs? My first thought was to
hard-boil them and give them to the girls, but then I realized that might
start the whole 'doping' thing again. I also considered giving them to the
dog, but wasn't sure if I should. I mean, if I shouldn't eat them, I guess
the dog should either?
So I just have to throw those lovely eggs away? I guess Easter is coming
and they are blue-green. Maybe I should blow them and give the shells to
the neighbor kids, and toss the raw eggs. It just seems such a waste.
Suggestions for how long to wait and what to do with drugged eggs?
