I have 1 single female goose as a pet. She is just over 1 year old. I got
her when she was a baby..
She was a very active goose, always walking around the yard and finding new
things to play with and corners to sit in... She has been laying about 4
eggs per week, for about the last 4 months or so...

About 3 weeks ago, she sat down in her nest and since then has hardly gotten
up. She had a very healthy appetite but since she sat in her nest, she
hardly eats anything.. 1 plate of food can last 2 days, when she used to eat
2-3 plates of food a day (plus her rumagging) She also has not laid any eggs
during this time..
>From everythign I read, it seemed as if she were brooding, despite the fact
that she is not laying eggs, and has no eggs to fertilize, and could not
even if she wanted to (no husband)...

So, is this normal? What is going on with my goose? How much longer can I
expect this to go on, before she gets back to normal? She used to be playful
and friendly. Now she just sits there and hardly even talks to us...
