ducks won't go into their new house

Yes we are new to all of this, so please forgive all our questions.
For a month, our ducklings lived in our own house. Now that they have
enough feathers and the weather is warmer, we moved them out into their
new home and enclosed wire mesh run.
For eight ducklings, they have a 4ftx4ft house and a 10ftx4ft attached
run. Yes they have lots of room just for 8 of them, but we wanted to
give them enough room just in case we wanted some eggs to hatch when
they started doing that.
Anyway, last night was their first night out. They slept the entire
night out in the run and never did go into their house. It is quite
windy today and cooler than yesterday, and still they won't go into
their house.
We have their food and water in the run so we could keep their house a
bit cleaner. The house was intended for them to sleep in and then go
out into the run to eat and drink.
Now the question.....
Since they have to learn a new routine, I know they are quite confused
at the moment. But will they learn to go into their house to sleep?
They look into the opening but never go in. They have to go through the
house to get outside if they want to go swimming in their pool. It's
not like they have never been in there. But for some reason they prefer
to just stay out in the run.
Any suggestions? Is this just normal? Yes we are a bit protective of
our babies and I was worried that since they lived a month in a
controlled enviornment, they are now exposed to the elements that
Nature dishes out. I guess if they were too cold they would go into
their house. They seem quite happy to be in the run where they can feel
the wind. I just don't want them to get sick.
Am I being a bit silly? After all, they are ducks. But they are also
our pets and we make sure all our pets are happy, safe, and healthy.
Thanks
Pauline
