Re: duck clutch

A pair of my ducks had a clutch last year. She made her nest in a corner of
the pen outside the coop (there's a chickenwire roof and wire 6" under the
dirt, so they are safe from above and below). After they hatched the
parents did a great job keeping the duckings together, and the chickens and
other ducks didn't bother them. But I was a worrywart, so to be safe I put
up some chickenwire walls to make them a private space, and gave them a
shelter made of haybales with a plywood roof. They all did fine.
Good Luck!! This is a great time of year. One of my hens hatched 3 chicks
last week and they're all cute as can be and doing great.
