No you totally fail to get it. I will try to explain in small words. ...

Newbie finds poultry group and lurks for a while as many do Finds faq. Reads
same. Becomes more enlightened. Still has some questions. Asks them. Gets
answers.

Nowhere does it say they have to do this ... nor should it.
A "did you read the FAQ" is, however, a fair question.. It might (for
example) indicate what level of knowledge they might have.

You have totally failed to get it. Want to try again ?

I also ask you again, what are the bad things about having a FAQ for those
that WOULD find it useful ? Just because you wouldn't doesn't mean it isn't
useful. What about thinking about someone else for a change ? :)
