OK, do it. There's nothing stopping you. You asked

"Do we want a FAQ? What form should it take? Who would be interested in
contributing? Anything to say on the topic at all?"

I said

"I don't know about what others want but I wouldn't use it. We have a
perfectly good system already."

That's all. I didn't say don't do it under any circumstances, it would never
ever be used, it's the work of the devil - or anything like that:-)
