Your sentiment is appreciated
Its a shame the US military bosses based in the UK are not so empathetic.
They have kept in place a bann on all US military personnel and urged all
relatives going anywhere near London despite the rest of the country being
told its business as usual. Daft -- That - combined with Bush's
inappropriate response last night at, of all places, an FBI audience does
illustrate the lack of understanding the higher echelons of US government
have of terrorism - and possibly why we are in such a mess over it all. He
harped on about it being a "fight" "battle" "war" and went on about military
options. This was a "Criminal" act - and maybe if he extolled the FBI to
their best ever efforts and put the perpetrators into the class of the
criminal element insteadof playing to their martyrdom of "warriers" fighting
a war it might - just might help. Over here its the police who are the main
players in the resolution of this abhorrance -- not the army.
The US governement's inexperience of bombings on their soil does show up
sometimes. Its very interesting to see and hear - Bush seemed desperate to
suggest he understood - but the words were just wrong somehow.

The Palace have learnt to respond rather quicker these days :~)

I hope the families are put out of their misery waiting for confirmation
soon. While, from the outside, the police and forensic position is
understandable - it must be completely unbearable for the relatives.
