I'm not sure I approve of this method but a farmer friend of mine wipes
diesel using a cloth along the perch and round affected areas of his
henhouse. He stands and watches the mites "sizzle" as they come into
contact with the diesel.
Not sure whether diesel is toxic to chickens, so I couldn't recommend this
method although his girls don't seem to mind.
