Feeding The Fox
Hi folks,
Sorry to report a bit of bad neews, a fox got into my hen house last night
and all bar four chickhens survived. Its all part of poultry keeping but
its still a part that upsets me.
On the bright side, I do have eggs in the incubator that should hatch by the
end of the week.

But as smart farmers know, unless they are ever vigilant, foxes will get in their hen houses and once inside the fox makes short work of killing off the chickens that lay the golden eggs. ... That reminded me of the unsinkable Titanic which, if I remember correctly, sank when an iceberg breached it's hull plates allowing water to fill it's forward water-tight compartments thus allowing something to happen that the designer hadn't foreseen, because the ship wasn't on an even keel the water ran over the top of the water-tight bulkheads. ...
