Well, watch him walk. If it looks like the point of the spur is hitting
his other leg, I'd go ahead and trim.
I've had some roosters with spurs that pointed slightly inwards and they
got so long, the bird could barely walk and could not run at all! Those
are the ones I cut back very short.
They do grow back, but it takes time.
