Cats hunt and cachew food. Cats like to kill for sport. These cats are only doing what nature intends them to do. Cats also ahve large hunting territories. It is unfortuante that this neighbor martyrs his cats by allowing them to pursue that sort of life. Why not call the Humane Society and explain the predicament? They may be able to help when they find out the attrition rate. No one in this area puts ads ion for free animals because of the animal testing labs grabbing them up.

Wee have a high attrition for cats around here. They neighbors lost 65 cats last year.
That is also a high number of cats to have about you
They collected more from "free cat" ads. Simply to replace the numbers of cats from their house that keep dissappearing.
We have a coyote predator problem. But the highest rate of loss probably comes from interlopers crossing my fence line. In fact, I'm sure of it.
Between me and the coyotes, my neighbors have a real cat loss problem. They feed them well. The buy expensive dry food for them, feed them tinned meat twice daily, and offer them milk and water. They have massive agreage to farm, and although I can see their house from my driveway, it takes binoculars to see them when they are on their porch. so a cat has to make a journey to get here. It's not like they are close, and those cats have any reason to wander this far.
