Why all of those?
None of them can carry the virus. Migratory waterfowl certainly do
The recommendations here [so far] will be to pen the animals behind netting
so that they cannot interact with the wild bird population as Nuele and
xiriux has described in the past in Holland and Germany

Also, caregivers will need

Good biosecurity
A great all purpose disinfectant is Virkon [and it does not matter what
letter is after it - E- tends to be sachets for domestic Equine use, S tends
to be buckets for larger scale Sheep use]

The probability of this virus mutating into something that can affect humans
in a severe and uncontrollable way is increasing all the time there is a
weak response to this virus in the populations of waterfowl in SE Asia
It is only in the last 3 years that it has been allowed to become endemic in
the populations of waterfowl there. They have not been given the support
they pleaded for to deal with this virus properly and the whole world may
pay the price.
This is a VERY pathogenic and rapidly mutating virus - that is why the
medico's are so concerned
While we have a great deal more advanced health system around the world now
in comparison to the 1920's you talk to any doctor or vet and ask about
controlling Virus's and you will get the same response. They are VERY
difficult. Ones like this one could very very easily be are in a class of
their own

This is only a concern IF they have been in contact with birds which have
come from SE ASIA

Correct -- nor is Tamiflu a vaccine -- the virus is mutating so fast in
minute degrees that even the vaccine they have created for commercial
poultry in SE Asia does not cover all of the variations
