It's ironic, isn't it? If you don't eat them, they die at about 14
weeks because of the weight and stress on their bodies. If you do eat
them, they die at about the same time. Seems the answer to the subject
question is an unqualified "yes". They will always get too big for
their own good.
They sure are tasty though.
