Hi, Jill!
Have been getting Google alerts for some time. The latest one says
that the virus has been confirmed in England.
We have been training our geese to come in little by little. I'm not
sure how to go about training the adult guineas. Maybe I will attempt
to catch them roosting on the barn rafters some night. The ducks and
young guineas are no problem. Just "Quack, quack!" and the ducks come
running. Young guineas are in a covered run attached to their night
quarters. The babies are still in the front room.
Our weather has turned cold. We expect frost and possible freeze
tonight along with the wind and drizzle (snow?).
Have to go chase coyotes from the back yard. Even though we've had
mopey weather, some ponds are still empty and the creeks dry. Hope
the geese are safe in the upper pond tonight!
Wish you a great "holiday".
