Re: Funding for any business depends on a solid plan, not wishes and desires.

No bank or venture capitol group will loan for ag or any other business
without a good business plan with solid figures behind it.
It is a LOT of work, but it will also be your guide for the next couple of
years. If you can't document the opportunity and how YOU plan to fulfill
that opportunity then you won't find funding outside your family. And, by
the way, the plan will document who will take over if you become
incapacitated.
One thing that jumps out at me in your message is "and if there is a
demand". You need to determine the demand in advance - and document how you
will fill that demand. Again - in advance. There is a demand in many areas
for poulty processing, but not enough to make it worth while for most areas.
Do you have a ready market (ready to sign a contract) for brown free range
eggs that isn't already filled by some other source of brown eggs in your
surrounding communities? Just stamping the cartons "free range" isn't going
to do much for most consumers.
Your state agricultural college or university has people who can help you
evaluate your ideas and determine the viability of it.
Good luck.
