BTW, folks here sometimes believe such a fleck was produced by the cockerel ;-) of course, hens may produce it that have never seen one in their whole life, when on the other hand most fertile eggs are perfectly "fleckless"!
I thought this so I stand corrected. My fertile eggs dont have blood spots though now I look at them. Just a slightly darker spot which is really only noticable when I haven't collected the eggs for a day or so.
