Hi,

Thanks for that.
I HATE the city, i love the country.
I feel much better here. I am gutted to leave.
I went to Scotland before i came here and got the
same reception. Maybe i should work on my accent.
It wouldn't have been as bad if i wasn't raised in Scotland !
But i am an IT project manager, no call for them here.
Only people here that make money are A.Irish and B.Builders/Farmers.
The anti-social welcome is the main reason why i am going.
I don't mind being poor so long as i have food and heat.
But i can't spend another year in isolation.
I hvan't eaten fast food for nearly 2 years.
I haven't seen a McDonalds since i drove thru wales on the way here.
Will be nice to be able to buy lawn mowers at 3am again tho.

Oh well end of a dream

Mark.

Hate to hear things are tough. I too am an unemployed IT person. I lost my job when I became disabled, but life goes on. I've been trying very hard to find something else, there are very few IT jobs here in Southern Indiana. Oh well, I am very thankful I live on a farm. I raise a few rabbits and of course I have my birds. I am close to a river where the fishing is good and I can take a deer anytime I need too. I have a freezer full of venison now... Like the sound says... "A county boy can survive"!

I just watched the John Wayne movie "A Quite Man" a few weeks back. I would have thought that Ireland would be a real nice place to live. ;)

Good Luck!

Nicholas
