Now just hang on a minute. I don't recall any complaint about shops not
being open 24/7.

I have heard from a lot of sources that English people moving to Ireland
sometimes experience "lack of welcome."

You are too hard by far. You are in a position where you can have as much
poultry and animals as you want. For some, this is just a dream and to try
and achieve it is commendable. If it doesn't work out I think it's very
sad.
I am very surprised that you can't see this yourself and you make me a bit
disappointed in you that you don't.
