Have you tried hanging old cd's around? Put a small hole in one edge and
thread some thread through and tie it to a branch or something. As a slight breeze catches it, it sort of flicks the light about and birds really hate it. Might help keep the crows away for a while.
I will try this as I always have old CDs around. I would really love to cover the whole yard with wire netting but as the yard was already in place when we moved here DH has decided an orchard at the back of the house would be a good idea, then net it in so I may move the fowls into the orchard. Hopefully they will clean up fallen fruit to deter fruitfly and pests. It is still some time down the track at this stage.
