lost eggs

for the past two days, I've complained about reduction in egg laying. I
just went out to the barn, discovered that I needed to get a new bale of
hay down from the mow. I found them all. The bale was overflowing in eggs
to the point two were on the floor, two were in the nest broken, and I
brought in 14 eggs. I guess the moral of the story is, if you have free
range hens, and have an abrupt and unexplained egg reduction, go looking.
