Lame chicken - advice please ?

HI All

One of our free-range Bantam Pekins suddenly started limping.

We (finally!) caught her, and her feet were a bit caked up so we
washed them in warm water and applied some vaseline.

It's difficult to see what's going on with her feet usually - because
she has such a lot of feathers around her feet.... but her claws look
to be very overgrown.

Is it OK to trim her claws, if so, how far ?

There's a photo on the web at

any advice gratefully recieved.

Thanks
Adrian
