You've just reminded me, we do have a pretty big fruit cage, as you
say just covering it wouldn't be so difficult if push comes to shove.

And the benefits of all those bugs and grubs munched up as well

However if they're there too long they'll eat the raspberries too,
they get quite athletic when there are raspberries to be found! :-)
