Hi
I should be getting my Blue Andalusia(sp ?) this week I think. If I
band them as chicks how often will I have remove the bands and re
band. I hate to even ask but is there rfid tag bands in use now? I
would like to keep better records that I did before and for that I
need a way of tracking the birds. Is there a better way than
banding. I am planning to keep eventually 2 different breeds(
separated within but sharing a common house) separately. Also do
you think 50 feet by 25 feet(width of netting) is okay for each
breed run for a standing flock of about twenty-five birds (
sometimes there would be a few more until culling.) Basically I am
wanting to have hands-on genetic training. I do realize that this
is a very limited flock.
We use wing tags which [ in the main !] don't come off as they grow
but take a bit of practise to get it right
But I don't know if you can get them?
The pen sounds small
We would not put more than 8 birds in that
Is it a grass pen or a dirt pen?
Do you have any rotation pens?
