H5N1 in mink?

Sweden is having a bad week what with H5N1 and now mad cow disease. It
is enough to drive a farmer mad. A novel new species suspected of
catching H5N1 in Sweden is the mink which was found dead in an area
known to be a favoured haunt of H5N1. Could it be that the mink, being
an opportunist sort of creature, ate an infected bird and promptly came
to grief with H5N1. Testing is going on and the results should be
revealed soon.
