Re: Guava for Chicken?
I had a flock that roosted for the night in a guava (guayaba) tree.
(This was in south Texas.) I don't think that they liked the fruit as
I rarely saw them peck at it. Now, when I lived in Mexico, the
critters would spend most of their time in the shade of a mango tree.
The instant one dropped down they would run to it and peck it. One or
two peckings that is all the took. This ruined the mango for human
consumption for almost immediately worms and insects would enter it.
Then they went back to give themselves dustbaths and wait for the next
mango to drop. Spoiled little b*st*rds!
