peafowl anyone?

Hi all,

Have done a bit of back reading as my computer has been down off and on for nearly two months.

Who has peafowl out there and what sort? I have been looking into getting a pair or a trio. There are no close neighbours and I have the space but my hubby is reluctant as he says they poo on everything. I'm also not sure of this pied/split/reverse thing all the breeders talk about in their colour although I get the drift of it, having looked at lots of pics. Ive been looking at Indian Blues as being the most readily available here (Aust) although the Java Green look nice but very pricey.

What do others think?
