Don't they just?

A few years back I went to a wedding at Monkey Island near Maidenhead,
where they have peafowl roaming freely around the grounds. It was an
exceptionally alcoholic day (and night) and I eventually made it to bed
at around 4am, only to be woken up again at around 6:30am by the noise
they were making, despite the previous day's excesses.

That shouldn't be much of a problem as we are up or at least awake by 5 5.30am every morning, even the morning after the night before ;-) Something to do with all those years of living in a hot region where it was too hot to work between 10.30am and about 3-4pm. Even though I live in a slightly cooler area now the habit havesn't died off yet although with winter coming on I get to sleep in until 6am or maybe even 6.30!
