How to tell age of hen?

Hi All,

Is there any way to reliably tell the age of a chicken? Red
(Americuna/RIR mix) just isn't perky these days. She will eat treats
from my hand, but won't come running for the feed like the others or
like she used to. She still has her "position" because she can give
the evil eye, but she has just slowed down so much. She was a grown
hen when I got her and she hasn't lain in about 4 or 5 years. When the
sun is still above the horizion and the others are still out, she
heads for the roost.

How can I tell if she is sick or just old?
