I don't have them but a neighbour does. The males call from the highest
thing they can conveniently get up on. Mostly they are on the top of the
shed, the water tank, the verandah railing, the tractor, fence posts etc.
The neighbour only has a few large trees, the cocks don't seem to be able to
get up them. How they go with smaller trees and shrubs I don't know.
