The recent thread on ducks was quite informative to me who islooking to
acquire some. I have lots of space, no neighbours and a big dam.But there
are predators (wild dogs, foxes, goannas and dingos). I have a verysmart
and protective dog but he cannot be on duty all night every night. Is there
any way of keeping ducks safe other than shutting them in at night?
In a word, no. I had some of mine killed by a neighbours dog who
climbed a 4 ft fence to get them. Foxes are far worse. They really
do need to be locked up at night but they take to it well.
