Re: You getting the jab?

Yes their posh fish ponds have already attracted a predatory heron, which I
guess is more likely to bring the plague than birds with smaller
territories. Perhaps the fish should be injected....

Are you far from Fife?

Alex.

Good morning poultry peeps,
Isn't there surprisingly little discussion about this crucial topic?

Yes - but maybe folks here are just sensible and have done their homework
already ?

We've covered our entire run with plastic sheeting, as the run borders on
three other gardens and the moral pressure has been growing to remove the
evil threat from the neighbourhood. All the feeders are inside a spare
henhouse and the water bath is well away from the edges. I think this
shining edifice will meet the offcial requirements if H5N1 does come to
Bristol, but whether it will stand up to the equinoctial gales is another
matter.
Alex

My advice would be to remove it for the gales :~))
The nieghbours have realised that in covering you are protecting your
birds - it won't stop H5N1 being dropped on their garden by any passing
infected ducks?
It won't stop H5N1 coming into the area
Maybe if you get troubled by them again you should suggest that they
should cover their garden?
