That depends entirely on where you are! We don't have foxes, we do have
coyote and rarely a cougar but I have never lost a duck - or any other
animal - to a predator. My muscovies fly around the neighborhood - after
their wing feathers grow back in and before I catch them and trim them
again - all the neighbors know that they are my ducks and don't mind or
bother them! I mainly trim their wings because if I don't, they fly up to
sit on my deck railing and make a mess before they take off again.
