Hi All

We have bought 10 acres in British Columbia Canada, and we are
interested in raising chickens. Would anyone please be so kind as to
give us some information on how to get started, any place to research
before we buy the birds, etc.

VERY welcome
but that is far too wide a topic for anyone person / group to answer
There are too many variables
If you look through the groups archives [ I see you are with google groups
so you know where] you will find great recommendations for books
These are your best bet - thats how much there is to read
If you can tell us your ideas - your chicken aspirations - your climate -
your land type - your predators - your time available - your housing and
penning provision - your other aspirations for the land - --- you get the
picture!!!
Then folks here will be much more able to respond to the particular

Its a great group - not very noisy ! but full of very helpful and
experienced folks in many ways
