Since he's a HoudiniI have a 42 year old mare, which we contain with two sliding locks (one
pony, we've fixed the man door with a latch that he can't reach. And
yeah, I did have concerns that a pony could get near such a thing.
Have you ever had horses?
Yes -- up to 35 at one time that I worked with -- from foals to
stallions, native breeds to thoroughbreds
They came up with all manner of curiosities and problems
But a situation like that was never allowed to happen 'constantly'
If so, did you ever expect them to open a man-door with a round
doorknob?
Yes -- they did it once and it was sorted
I also have had dogs that can do it - and goats
:~))
I have had my share of animals trying to get one up on me and expect
to have a lot more before my alloted span on this earth
When I boarded, there was a horse that could lick the sliding
latch open & escape. It happens & you have to fix it. Which I did.
Does that satisfy?
at floor level where she cant reach it. until we put the second lock on,
a padlock secured her in
.
