That crap is toxic and the bird is going to try to clean itself. :-(


this may sound silly, and perhaps it is.
But I remember my father sometimes coming home with oil on his clothes,
when I was still a child. My mum used to rub butter on it first, before
washing it, to sort of dissolve the oil in something oily that was
easier to wash out (if that makes sense)
