rape/mustard hulls for bedding

I helped hand-harvest and thresh some rape and mustard (for oil
production and biodiesel experiments) this weekend. I didn't keep the
straw, but the hulls seemed like they'd make good bedding. I got a
pillowcase full. Anyone have experience with this as bedding? I will
post a picture today if I get time.
