I carry a Glock 36 for personal protection.<snip>
It's so strange to me, when people think of guns for killing other
people.
I think of them as a tool to protect livestock. Crimes against people just
doesn't happen here, because criminals go to the cities, where the
general
public is not armed, or if they are, they haven't practiced enough to
be familiar or accurate enough to be a threat.
So why do you carry a gun for personal protection?
Not a criticism - just trying to understand the overwhelming need to be so
armed that seems to be so prevalent in the USA. I really do not understand
it.
Shooting to hunt does not "require" that much armoury
<snip>
Crime isn't a thought here, because knowing farm houses have lethal
tools, and know how, and are willing to use them is a strong deterrant.
It isn't here without room to toom lethal weapons to use on humans left
handy.
