Re: Need to catch our rooster

Grabbing a rooster at night is the best way. The rooster I have now turns
into a statue in twilight, much less at night! If there's snow on the
ground and he misses "curfew", I can walk right up to him, pick him up,
carry him into the coop and put him on a roost. Nighttime is the best for
handling a rooster. Even if I go in late at night to pill or treat one of
the hens, all I get from him is a cracked eyelid, then he goes back to
sleep.

Good luck, and don't worry! it should be fine

Our rooster free ranges except for night times when he comes to our
coup to roost. He has a ball of monofiliment fishing line tangled
around one of his feet and we want to try to catch him to remove it.
Any suggestions of how we can catch him? He is a small bantum rooster
and not aggressive. He just runs every time we try to catch him.
