You did better than me. I couldn't see anything - rotten country
lines!

I have been
through a cattle abattoir and found it quick, efficient and a lot
more
humane than the one videoed.

I've been though a few abattoirs too and I went through one with a
vegetarian! After the first stage where the cattle were stunned and
then hung up by the heels up she wouldn't stop asking questions and
some of those questions just about had me gagging. Talk about blood
thirsty!

It probably differs from business to
business, just as it does in all areas of life. I do think that as
an
animal keeper I have a responsibility to be as humane as possible to
our
livestock but then, it makes good business sense to do so as
stressed
animals do not fatten well.

And for cattle producers like us, it produces lousy meat from dark
cutters.
