<tracieemerson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> whittled the following words:
I've got rescue birds and call me dopey but seeing them happy makes me
feel good.
I would think knowing the hell that battery hens have been through would
a very rewarding experience. I know watching my hens, who have never knowna
cage, running around out there "chickening" is a very calming and
enjoyable experience. I can only imagine watching one who has never before
seen the world as it discovers what is out there.
It's just so rewarding watching their pale little faces when they walk out
on grass for the first time, I'm sure they are overwhelmed. When they
stretch their legs and wings and I think "go for it girls, no more cages for
you" After a few weeks their faces turn pink and and they don't look like
frightened hens anymore! How could I possibly eat one?!!!!
Thank you for the welcome! :-)
